The Whale Museum is joining forces with Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to host the "Wild San Juan" Series. The goal of the series is to learn more about wildlife, what's going on in nature, and how we can be better neighbors. These will take place the first Friday of the month, May - August.
Dates & Times:
May 5 - "Fawns, Fledglings and Fox Kits"
June 2 - "Songbirds"
July 7 - "Harbor Seal Pups"
August 4 - "Explorers"
This exciting lecture series will feature local wildlife species & activities and how we can reduce human impacts which harm wildlife and their habitats. Impacts can include everything from removing nests/nesting material when working in the yard to vehicle strikes. Through becoming more aware of the impacts of our actions, visitors and residents of San Juan Island can learn to be better stewards of the wildlife that share their home with us.
