Yale Whiffenpoofs Concert featuring Endolyne Children's Choir

Calendar/Event Details

The Yale Whiffenpoofs are America’s oldest collegiate a cappella group. This October, they will be on tour in Washington State and their West Seattle performance will be hosted by the Endolyne Children’s Choir. ECC singers are thrilled to be sharing the stage with the legendary and accomplished Whiffenpoofs.

The Whiffenpoofs are generously donating a significant portion of the revenue from this concert towards supporting ECC's mission.

Since their founding in 1909, the Whiffenpoofs have brought their diverse repertoire of vocal jazz, folk, pop, and Broadway hits to more than two hundred audiences each year across all 6 inhabited continents. In past years, the ‘Whiffs’ have sung for Presidents Obama, Bush (41 and 43), Clinton, and Reagan, and at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. They’ve even been featured on television shows such as “The Sing Off,” “The West Wing,” and “Glee.”

One of the most important messages the Whiffenpoofs spread as they tour the world each year, is that music can provide extraordinary opportunities to young people. We hope this event inspires the members of ECC to continue investing in their passion for music.

Endolyne Children’s Choir is a non-audition choir that provides robust and transformative choral education for all young singers. We empower our choristers to develop confidence, form friendships, and learn performance skills in an inclusive, equitable environment. ECC singers connect with, inspire, and uplift the greater community, while developing lifelong appreciation for music and the arts.
