The family that plays together stays together! We’re excited to welcome returning friends La Famille Léger back to Saturday Family Concerts. The Légers play the dancing music of French Canada—the music of back porches and kitchen parties, handed down through generations in the New World. In addition to presenting lively tunes on the fiddle and accordion, La Famille Léger shows also feature crankies, old-fashioned story scrolls with puppets and paper cutouts that bring to life the ballads and stories of the Acadians in North America.
From New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia to the tiny Magdalen Islands, the tunes and songs of the Acadians offer great joie-de-vivre and a red-hot rhythm that gets the whole family dancing!
