Mrs. Jewls' classroom on the 30th floor of the Wayside School is inhabited by 28 students, 2 teachers, 1 ghost, and a dead rat. The students are terrified of the kindly Mrs. Jewls. Mrs. Jewls is terrified of her adorable students. Through a series of amusing escapades they'll learn that their problems may be ridiculous, but they're not so terribly different after all.
