Take a breather

We often talk about self-care and the importance of making time for ourselves, but what does that actually mean during a pandemic when there is literally no time for anything? All over the country, busy parents are scrambling — many are working from home, helping their kids with remote learning, and trying to keep up a good front while the world seems to be crumbling around us.

With this situation unlikely to change any time soon, we have to find ways to address parental burnout and keep moving forward through this tumultuous time. We all know it is the small things that will get us through, like practicing gratitude, getting outside and chatting with friends. In addition, small changes to your environment can really boost your mood as well. A friend of mine recently got a new mattress and she said it was life-changing!

So with a much-needed mood boost in mind, I took to the internet to find a few fun, frivolous and comforting things that could bring some sunshine into your life (or your partner’s life). Click the arrows above the image to find some inexpensive and semi-therapeutic products that will hopefully bring some cheer.
