In honor of Black History Month, and in partnership with the Buffalo Soldiers Museum, Luther Adams, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Ethnic, Gender and Labor Studies at the University of Washington Tacoma, will lead a discussion acknowledging and affirming the importance of Black military men’s service to their community and to the nation. This program will explore the ways that the labor of Black military service paved the road for democracy and expanded Civil Rights for all US citizens. Light refreshments will be available.
