Help us paint a mural on the side of the Museum!
Have you ever wanted to paint something cool on the side of a building? Well, now you can! As part of our new exhibition Art+Flight, we invite you to join us on Saturday, July 22 in the West Campus Parking Lot to help paint a mural on the side of our Collections Storage building in a fun and unique way.
Through a partnership with Urban Artworks, we've commissioned local muralist Esmeralda Vasquez to create a custom design within the concept of freedom and flight.
The mural will be paint-by-numbers style where the outline of the design is applied ahead of time and then YOU get to paint it! It is friendly for painters of all skill levels, so come on out with your family and friends and join in on the fun.
C89.5 - Seattle's Home for Dance will provide some beats while you paint and we'll have food trucks pulled up if anyone needs a snack.
Sign-ups are offered as 90-minute time slots, though feel free to sign-up for multiple slots if you like.
Mural painting is all ages and FREE to participate. Registration is required.
All painters who sign-up will receive complimentary Museum admission for the day.
