The Cultural Competency training is geared towards teens and tweens to help them create awareness and to open a dialogue where they can express their thoughts and concerns.
Rudy Garza, a Certified Prevention professional, is Coordinator of the Coalition for Drug-Free Youth, North Highline and unincorporated King County White Center. His knowledge of cultural competency comprises extensive training, experience serving an ethnically diverse community and prior professional experience in community and governmental affairs in the private and public sectors with multi-cultural populations in Texas, California and Washington.
The Cultural Competence training he conducts is designed to create awareness of the cultures around us, identify cultures within cultures, and how to determine cultural competence in ourselves, individuals and organizations.
