About the topic:
Starting with a basic understanding of sensory systems and Neurodiversity, and what that means in our lives, we can begin to make subtle changes or reframe behavior to reduce the time maladaptive behaviors take away from classroom instruction.
About the speakers:
Katie McMurray has a Master's degree in Guidance and counseling, focusing on sensory processing disorders, worked as an elementary and middle school teacher and with adults as a certified disability management specialist.
Lauren Howard has a BS in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis. She is an expert in resources, behavior, and accommodation.
