It’s a “Garden Party” at the 2018 Northwest Flower & Garden Festival, celebrating 30 years of beauty and inspiration with its magnificent gardens, over 100 free seminars, shopping in the bustling Marketplace and much more, February 7-11 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
America’s second-largest flower and garden event will showcase 17 spectacular gardens chock full of great take-home ideas for gardens of all sizes. Talented garden creators artfully combine floral color and plant textures, hardscapes and lifestyle features into these indoor wonders.
“How-to” tips for both newbie gardeners and green thumb veterans are the focus of scores free seminars by top experts each day. Fun and fast-paced, "Container Wars” returns as gardening luminaries “compete” daily to design eye-catching container displays while sharing helpful advice for audiences. And “Floral Wars,” a new event to the festival, pairs talented experts taking the stage to create distinctive floral arrangements “on-the-clock.”
The always popular “Marketplace” spotlights over 350 vendors offering a cornucopia of quality products, services and artwork. While you’re there visit the “Tasting Corner, ” where dozens of merchants will be selling specialty foods and beverages.
Festival dates and hours are Wednesday through Saturday (Feb. 7-10), 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday (Feb. 11), 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
