Snoqualmie LGBTQ Youth Support Group

Calendar/Event Details

Lambert House receives funding from Best Starts for Kids, a King County voter-approved initiative to support every baby born or child raised in King County to reach adulthood happy, healthy, safe, and thriving. With this funding, Lambert House launched 9 in-person peer support groups for LGBTQ+ youth in small and rural communities in 2019.

Since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Lambert House has been serving youth from these and other small and rural communities with online peer support groups and programs, as well as in-person outdoor events in many locations around King County. Online programs have worked well for youth in rural communities who may not be able to participate in-person, even if a group existed near them, for fear of being outed.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, and to continue serving youth that find attending in-person difficult, Lambert House will continue to offer online programs, as well as in-person outdoor activities across King County.
