The West Seattle 4th of July Kids parade is a beloved tradition dating back nearly 30 years. It started when a family in the Admiral neighborhood organized a little get together for friends and neighbors to dress up in festive gear and walk to Hamilton View Point Park for a picnic.
Join us on Thursday, July 4th, 10 a.m. at the corner of Sunset Ave and 44th Ave NW for the parade festivities and kick off! Hear the national anthem and get fun swag for yourself and your bike, stroller, or scooter. We'll walk the short route through the north Admiral neighborhood to Hamilton View Point Park for fun, food trucks, and festivities!
Kids of all ages and their parents too, dress up in their best festive and fun 4th of July garb and decorate bikes, strollers, scoters and even pets to walk the short parade route through the neighborhood! The parade has grown a bit over the years as more families have moved into West Seattle. Now, the park is a bit more active at the parade’s end with sponsors hosting kids' activity tables and food trucks to feed the festive revelers. But one thing remains the same – we still have the potato sack races that everyone loves!
