Looking for a way to encourage your teen to put down the screens and get some exercise this summer? Consider the Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program. Teenagers ages 14–19 can register for a free summer membership to the Planet Fitness location of their choice, and exercise for free all summer long.
Many teenagers are still struggling with mental health issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. While they want to exercise and make physical health a priority, there can be many barriers, including access and even motivation.
The Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program aims to address those factors by offering a free pass to the gym, including free fitness classes (at participating locations) and a free app to track your check-in streaks and view hundreds of digital on-demand workouts. Participants are also encouraged to sign up for the High School Summer Pass Contest. Five lucky winners nationwide will win a $10,000 academic scholarship (entries are submitted via TikTok video).
There is an exciting new addition to the program this year. The top five schools with the most student sign-ups on the Leaderboard will each receive $10,000 that can be used to fund athletic equipment, field renovations, physical fitness classes and health and wellness initiatives. Learn more on the website.
The program runs May 15–Aug. 31, so encourage your teen to grab a friend and sign up today!
